As founders we are often asked “why?” Why did you start this brand? Why do you think there is a need for this? Why do you think people will be interested? Our answer is that we have always wanted to feel a certain way when it comes to fitness and instead of waiting, we are creating.

WeGym is a space where there are no barriers, no competitors, no complexities. Wherever you are in your life, we’ll meet you there. It is not about how you look, but how you feel. We believe there’s a lot of work to be done and we’re just getting started.

Founder Story
WeGym began as a solution to a common frustration: finding fitness equipment that was practical, safe, and stylish for modern homes.
In 2023, Cammi Yang, with her expertise in product development and logistics, met Kameron Kicklighter, a branding expert, at a coffee shop in New York City. Their shared vision for a better fitness experience led to the birth of WeGym.
Within a year, WeGym launched its soft kettlebells and ultra-grippy yoga mats, designed for busy professionals, families, and small spaces.
In the spring of 2024, WeGym opened its flagship studio in West Hartford, Connecticut, blending serenity, community, and fitness innovation.
By summer 2024, WeGym's expanded product line, including the viral SafeGrip Dumbbells, had gained national recognition from Harper's Bazaar, Glamour, and CNN.
With the 2025 launch of the WeGym Studio app, featuring hundreds of workouts, Cammi and Kameron continue to stay true to their mission: making fitness accessible for all.
